"Deirdre Karris" was the name of the Facebook account for the Uru avatar, Deirdre, known as Deirdre_1 on the forums. On September 8, 2015, Deirdre's friend, Patricio posted "On September 3, 2015, Deirdre Karris left this world for a far better place" and announced a memorial service to be held on Sunday, September 13th.[3] The next day, he posted that on August 31st, Deirdre had informed her friends (maggie, zia, Snickuster and himself) "she had inoperable brain cancer and the doctor told her she from a week to a month left" and that on September 8th, he was contacted on Skype "by someone who was instructed by Deirdre to contact me with the news of her passing." He also noted that he had "contacted Tor'i to request her name be added in the Kahlo Pub."[4]
