I began my programming interest a long time ago when I first fooled around with an Altair that I built from a kit. With only eight switches and 8 lights, I delighted in "teaching" it how to add two numbers and output the results. I really had very little interest in computers generally until the pc was introduced. My first replacement for a typewriter was an "Osborne" used in my film editing business. I remember one of the most famous animation houses in Hollywood at that time controlling a camera with the first TRS-80. My first home pc was a Radio Shack Color Computer. (the expensive version with 32k ram instead of 16k, no hard drive, no floppy!)

My first "real" pc was a 386 with 2MB ram and a 80Mb hard drive, DOS 4 and Windows 3.0 which cost about two and a half thousand dollars! During ownership of my second pc, a 486, I played the original Myst at 800x600 resolution. Also, that same year, I developed the first graphics-based website at Ohio University.

Now semi-retired, I spend my summers in Paris and my winters in Carolina and Rio. I currently have two movies in production. With Cyan's open source realease of Uru, I'm learning something new about 3ds Max and D'ni Ages.
